“Creating exceptional places for extraordinary people begins with the extraordinary people who shape RLF every day.”
As RLF closes its 90th anniversary celebration, we’re taking a final look back, not at the projects that shaped our reputation but at the people who shaped our purpose.
Our concluding video, RLF: Purpose + People, weaves together personal moments and reflections from across the firm. At its center is a story told by John Spangler, Computer Operations Manager, whose connection to RLF began long before he joined the team. As a 10-year-old helping his mother in the office, John met James Gamble Rogers for the first time. Decades later, those early memories frame a career that has carried him from drafting tables to the forefront of digital transformation.
Alongside John’s narrative, the voices of Cindy Elkin, Senior Interior Designer; Kelli Whorton, Director of Human Resources; and Russ Sanford, Chief Strategy Officer paint a broader picture of who RLF is today, an interdisciplinary team grounded in respect, collaboration, and shared purpose. Their perspectives echo a theme that runs through every chapter of our history: people are the constant that carry us through change.
From Reprographics to Revit, from Y2K to COVID-19, from Winter Park to Orlando, RLF has evolved through nine decades of new tools, new talent, and new expectations. Yet the heart of the firm remains the same. Our commitment to creating exceptional places for extraordinary people continues to be driven by those who bring passion, ingenuity, and care to the work every day.
As we step into our next decade, the message from the team is clear: our future is strengthened by the resilience that brought us here and the enthusiasm that pushes us forward.
We invite you to watch the final chapter of our 90th anniversary series, a tribute to the individuals who make RLF’s mission possible.
